Physical beauty doesn't last.

THINGS TO PONDER:

I'm a bit sad about cameron diaz's looks at present.. i never expect her to be this really old looking.. she's been my hollywood crush ever and i've been following her movies just to see her bedazzled smile.lol..i've seen many actresses who went to stardom in their 20s because of their beautiful faces but now that they're already in their 40s, they're nowhere to be seen in movies...Also, i was so amazed with Julie Delpy and Gwyneth Paltrow's angelic face and beautiful smile.. but i never expect these gals would look far different as they reach their 40s. I honestly have been so engrossed with having a good look (ehemm) and afraid of getting older (which is a sign of immaturity, i know!), been so badly wanting of having nice makeup and fancy clothes..(you know the gurl's madness).. But lately, while doing movie marathon (due to boredom), I've seen beautiful faces from hollywood stars and I deeply appreciate it.. their get up, their fashion, their makeup..and when i try to google their present status and looks.. i was a bit disappointed.. and now im a little worry of how would i look like when i reach their age.. I was trying to ponder things..and what God is trying to teach me these days is this, you may be the most beautiful (and handsome) person on earth, but even how beautiful you are, you will never ever be as pretty than you were when you grow older.. Some may say that age is just a number.. but in reality, it does make change on you, especially your physicality...because beauty doesn't last..and God brought me to these 7 verses (which are very comprehensible and literal): Here you go ladies!

1. 1 Corinthians 7:31, "the fashion of this world passeth away." Although clothes are not a perfect measure, they can speak a lot about one's heart condition.

2. Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

3. This one is what i love the most, 1 Peter 3:3-4 "Don't depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewelry or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special"

4. 1 Peter 3:3-4 "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

5. Proverbs 31:30:"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fading; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

6. and finally, The Bible warns us not to be vain or conceited (Philippians 2:3-4) and not to draw attention to ourselves by the way we look (1 Timothy 2:9).

Hard it may seem..or i may be getting spiritually inclined here but the thing is, it's a reality.. 10,15 years from now we will inevitably look old and ugly.. and it's continuous, it's unstoppable and you can't help it. But what's a thing that won't change? it is the "inner you" --your attitude. No matter how odd and ugly you may look like in the future, you will always be the lovable person that people loved and still love. I didn't ask you not to beautify yourself, embellish it with make-ups or stop wearing nice clothes.. just don't get so engrossed with it. Enjoy your youthful years sweetie, with God in you--and He will keep you on track. ;)

There you go!

Establishing a good relationship with the siblings of a "significant other" in your life isn't pretty easy..  me as a social being, well im not that super friendly neither exert an effort to make friends to people i have to befriended with...maybe initiating little talks  in your first few meetings will do.. and if you find yourselves switch on with each other, then congratulations! But, even if you've been trying to make it work for a little more and still nothing happens, then let it be! You don't have to exert an extra mile just to befriended with those folks..it's not necessary! again, it's not necessary! you can live without becoming good friends with them!.. now if they say that my legs aren't that bad but i better not to get closer to them just not to look my legs pretty bad when compared..then, tell them as well not to get closer to me either especially to my face because if people take a peek at us they may assume that there are white monkeys beside me. ;) and that's more worrisome.. :(

Just Enough!

Whenever I speak on contentment, I share a special prayer. The ingredients call for "enough": Health enough to make work a pleasure. Wealth enough to support my needs. Strength enough to battle with difficulties. Grace enough to confess my sins and overcome them. Patience enough to keep at it until some good is accomplished. Charity enough to see some good in my neighbor. Love enough to be useful and helpful to others. Faith enough to make real the things of God. And hope enough to remove all anxious fears concerning the future.

Contentment is not based on present circumstances. Contentment is based on the person of God. He's all you need!

She..

Thank You God for giving me the greatest gift my sister.

She's so kind, she's very understanding.

She wakes me up if its time for me to work.
And if I'm still sleepy, she drags me out of my bed with all her little force, she prepares all my needs for work from the pc and even my food to eat.
She's trying her best for me not to get scold by my boss.

When all else are angry she pacifies.

She's a peace maker, an encourager when I feel so down.

She's the only one who can appreciate when no one can.
I love her but I love You more coz You gave her to us.

Just have FUN!

you know im not religious. I hate living in conformity. I hate doctrinal practices. I don't want to compromise and I don't need to. I don't believe with it. I just believe that God has placed us here because he wants us to experience real heaven and this place is already His heaven. He wants us to be happy and live a good life.

There's no need to restrict yourself from what is meant for us because we are created for it.

So while you are young, have fun! when you grow older, have fun all the more.. when you become a parent, have fun too with your children, family, relatives and friends..

Always make sure that whatever your decision is, wherever you go, you're having fun..

Don't put all your time and effort in searching for bigger wealth because in life there's no amount of wealth that could satisfy man.. neither sex!

Just have fun.. so when you grow older and weaker.. you won't regret because every single moment spent is a reward beyond compare!

and that's what journey is..having fun..

TAKOYAKI

I bought 2 orders of takoyaki for my 10-yr old bro:

younger bro: wow! THANK YOU SO MUCH ATEH! Why did you buy this? Where have you been?
me: I bought that because you passed your Martial Arts Exam.
younger bro: ahh..what if I didn't pass? (in a worry face)

I paused for a while thinking what to say..and he stared at me.. then I smiled and said.

me: of course I'd still buy because you are loved!
younger bro: then he smiled back while continue eating..

love..love..love..love your family while they're beside you..

Filipinos Here and Abroad..

A topsy-turvy economic status and political governance of our respective homeland are one of the main reasons why most people either low or high profile individuals choose to work abroad. Maybe few of which just want to experience a new environment but most of the reasons why people work abroad is basically a low- economic standing of their own country. Acknowledging Europe and middle-east countries as having a good economy standing with high-paying jobs, people would really get attracted of going abroad without being circumspective. The mere fact that they are well-developed countries, people from the third world countries would definitely dare to venture out to a strange world as those in order to experience a greener pasture.

In August 2008, the World Bank showed their estimates of global poverty; accounting for the increased population between 1981 and 2005, the poverty rate has, however, fallen by about 25%. A few places around the world see increasing rates of growth in a positive sense. But globally, there is also a negative change in income distribution. The reality unfortunately is that the gap between the rich and poor is quite wide in most places. For example:
  • About 0.13% of the world’s population controlled 25% of the world’s assets in 2004.
  • The wealthiest 20% of the world’s population consumes 76.6% of the world’s goods while 80% of humanity gets the remainder.
Associated with that is the Low Wages – College education is expensive, parents really find it hard to pay tuition and school projects. When they get a job in the Philippines, these fresh graduates and even the old ones are not get compensated enough to equal their investments on education. That is why most Filipino workers acquire jobs abroad where wage is proportionate to education, skills, and experience. Even skilled professionals here grab the opportunity to work as housemaids, caregivers, construction workers and laborers to other countries as long as it is decent and high paying.

Also, Low benefits- most of the companies in the Philippines especially Filipino owned companies don’t have good benefitss. Good thing, foreign-based companies give reasonable benefits to their workers especially BPO industries.

This reported statistics is a sad reality, some may not able to feel it but others do. Back in the Philippines, some families really had a hard time eating 3 meals a day. They even skip meals or just contented eating rice without viands on their plates. Babies were just fed by sticky-liquefied rice to fill their hunger and just forgot about old folks’ starvation. Even then, Filipinos are still hopeful to succeed in life and one easy way to achieve is to go abroad. Filipinos are earning  approximately 10 times of their income in the Philippines this is why a lot of our fellowmen are so desperate to go abroad thinking it as an enormous and rare opportunity to venture.

But what are the effects of going abroad then? People working away from home may correspond with negative consequences as many lives are already affected by this, such as misguided youth, broken families, adultery, cold relationship of the kids towards the parents and some other realistic effects. This may not be true to everyone but this is a reality check to awaken each one of us, not just for those who plan to go abroad but also to the Philippine government.

Life is beautiful especially when we see different spectacular places in this world and experience a very soothing and comfortable lifestyle. Each of us wishes to feel this way but it may not be as easy as what we think, it can also be difficult beyond what we can imagine.
